Synopsis
Former Special-Ops agent James Terrier is assisting with providing clean water for an African village when three armed men storm in and it becomes obvious they are there to kill him. Terrier escapes, but discovers that a price has been put on his head. After meeting with an old comrade in London, Terrier is convinced that the attack on him is connected to his old firm and his involvement in an assassination in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His investigation leads him to Barcelona, where he re-connects with his ex-lover, Annie. Even though Terrier places her in a safe house, a betrayal by an old friend leads to Annie being kidnapped in order to blackmail him, and Terrier is forced to deal with his actions of the past and present. Based on the novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette.
