Synopsis
Fourteen-year-old Tommy Schooner comes from a skateboarding family. His parents own Modern Skate, and his sister, who is a professional skater, is the "face" of the up-and-coming company. Even Tommy’s dog, Buddy, is a skateboarder. Tommy and Buddy are practicing when they bump into 17-year-old skater Frankie, who is also the local bully. The two boys have an argument and Tommy challenges Frankie to a competition, which was not the best idea, since Tommy is the only one in the family who is not great at skating. But his best friend, Alice, and Buddy both pitch in to help him win the contest.
