Synopsis
Tae-shik, a bedraggled stranger with a mysterious past, works as a pawnbroker while living in a rundown basement in a Seoul slum. He purposely avoids the junkies and deadbeats who inhabit his building, but proves to have a soft spot for his street-smart young neighbor So-mi, who often visits him to escape her violent home life. When So-mi is kidnapped by the mob along with her drug-addicted exotic-dancer mother, Tae-shik has no choice but to come out from hiding and fight the criminals in order to save her life.
