Synopsis
In 1979, Oxford grad Donna travels to the Greek island of Kalokairi when she falls head-over-heels in love with Sam. Determined to make the island her home, high-spirited Donna gets a job singing at the local taverna, but is heartbroken to find that Sam is engaged, but she is happy to find that she is pregnant, by one of three possible men. In present-day Kalokairi, Donna’s daughter Sophie has honored the memory of her mother by fulfilling her dream of turning the taverna into a magnificent hotel. But a major storm spoils the opening party. As her friends try to boostSophie’s spirits, the storm lifts and all her guests arrive, including her boyfriend, Sky. Sophie feels a strong connection with her mother, and reveals that she and Sky have a secret to share.
